Crush the clamp and tube to separate the two parts and slide the clamp off of the cardboard tube.

Place the correct size Melt and Mend clamp over the hose.

Work the hose onto the brass fitting, then slide the clamp down to cover the hose and fitting.

Using either a heat gun or a torch, apply heat evenly around the entire clamp until it shrinks down tightly over the hose. Allow to cool completely before handling.
